Boxing Day Menu

Starters

  • Leek and potato soup. Served with crusty bread and butter.
  • Chicken liver pate. A smooth homemade pate with brandy served with toast and chutney.
  • Whitebait. Served with Tartare sauce, brown bread and butter.

Mains

  • Roast Local Turkey. Served with roast and mashed potatoes, honey roasted parsnips, pigs in blankets, Abbey stuffing, a selection seasonal vegetables and a rich turkey gravy.
  • Slow Roast Beef. Served with roast and mashed potatoes, honey roasted parsnips, Yorkshire pudding a selection seasonal vegetables and a beef gravy.
  • Salmon en croute. Served a watercress sauce , buttered new potatoes and traditional seasonal vegetables.

Desserts

  • Christmas Pudding, a matured pudding served with brandy sauce
  • Sticky toffee pudding , served with vanilla custard               
  • Chocolate torte, served with white chocolate ice-cream
